Hesitate No 05:41
Did I see you come back to me When I had no direction Did I see you not turn, not turn and run Did I see you come back to me When I held no possessions Did I see you give love when I had none Hesitate, hesitate no lover Hesitate hesitate no more Hesitate, hesitate no lover Shone your light right through my door Hesitate, hesitate no lover Hesitate hesitate no more Hesitate, hesitate no lover Bring your love I’ll ask for more Did I see you give shelter to Me when the storm was heaving Did I see you lean in to face the front Did I see you stand next to me When all around were leaving Did I see you give love when I had none Hesitate, hesitate no lover Hesitate hesitate no more Hesitate, hesitate no lover Bring you love right through my door Hesitate, hesitate no lover Hesitate hesitate no more Hesitate, hesitate no lover Shine your light I’ll ask for more Tired and weary, bought to nearly Breaking point it’s true Though my eyes be Set untimely All they see is you

about

"Auckland based sevenpiece roots/reggae band Ddub are one of NZ’s hardest working and most impressive live acts. Over the last 18 months they have been wowing thousands of happy punters at music festivals up and down the country. They also came up with one of the top three kiwi albums of last year with their debut effort, Awake At Dawn.
The first single off this follow up “Hesitate No” is a good example of what this whole album is about. The music is a groove laden funky melange of rock/roots reggae &, skanking dub with a super tight horn section, bubbly bass and colourful vocals courtesy of Derek Browne. There is not a duff one among these 11 new songs and some really shine brightly like the title track, and the joyous pulse of Love Comes Around, while Paint Your Picture captures that feel good summer vibe perfectly."

- Ross Middlemiss - Radar Records.

"So-called 2nd album syndrome seemed to slip by dDub this year, who matched their brilliant debut with an equally brilliant, perhaps even better, sophomore album. The band's signature sound of poetic lyrics, set to a blend of reggae and ska, is complemented by forays into highly polished dub-electronica and even funky acoustic folk. Vocals and instruments interact sublimely on an album that is perfectly arranged and performed."
